That wouldn't be so bad

A while back I got the urge to draw the scene from TTP where Artemis blurts out "IT WASN'T YOU!" thereby ruining a perfectly good romantic moment. (Probably because I had recently read 's The Frog Prince) Just so happened I was in my history class and had some scratch paper on me (actually that part is not much of a surprise). But I had a good enough idea of what I wanted that I could draw and listen to lecture. The doodle actually turned out alright and I decided that I wanted to color it and add background. Here is the original.  

The idea was to have Holly's previous words floating behind her so that, even though the conversation has taken a turn for the worse (all thanks to Arty's habit of lying ) Artemis is still lingering on her heavy question. I wanted it to look fuzzy and stuff so I blurred it but couldn't get the right "question still hanging in the air" effect. Oh, well. But I developed a new "shading hair technique" that I quite like and also found a helpful tutorial on drawing grass so I'm happy.
